Sada Khata is developed and operated by StackExpert Pvt Ltd.
We respect your privacy and have designed Sada Khata as an offline-first accounting and business record application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, how that information is handled, and the choices available to you.
By using Sada Khata, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Stored in Sada Khata
Sada Khata allows you to enter and manage information related to your business, personal accounts, customers, suppliers, bills, transactions, income, expenses, and other financial records.
Depending on how you use the app, this information may include:
Business name and business information
Customer names and contact details
Supplier names and contact details
Customer and supplier balances
Money to receive
Money to pay
Income and expense records
Cash transactions
Invoice and billing information
Product or service information
Notes and transaction details
Personal or household account records
Multiple khata/business records
Backup files created by you
This information is primarily stored locally on your device.
2. Offline-First Operation
Sada Khata is designed to work without requiring an internet connection for normal accounting and record-keeping functions.
The application does not require you to:
Create an online account
Register with an email address
Sign in to a StackExpert account
Verify your phone number through OTP
Synchronize your business records with a StackExpert server
Your normal Sada Khata business records remain stored on your device unless you intentionally export, share, or back up information.
3. Information We Collect
Sada Khata does not automatically transmit your customer, supplier, invoice, transaction, income, expense, or other business records to StackExpert Pvt Ltd servers.
We do not currently use the app to collect:
Advertising identifiers
Device identifiers for advertising
Location information
Contacts from your phone
Photos or camera data
Analytics data
Behavioral advertising data
Sada Khata does not currently use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that automatically send app usage data to us.
If these practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
4. Customer and Supplier Information
You may choose to enter information about your customers, suppliers, employees, family members, or other individuals into Sada Khata.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate reason or permission to store information about other people.
This information remains part of your locally stored Sada Khata records unless you choose to export, share, or back it up.
StackExpert Pvt Ltd does not automatically receive this information.
5. Multiple Khatas
Sada Khata allows you to maintain separate khatas for different businesses, activities, or personal accounts.
Each khata stores its own records, including its customers, suppliers, transactions, invoices, balances, and other information.
Switching between khatas does not automatically send or synchronize information over the internet.
6. Backup and Restore
Sada Khata allows you to create backup files so you can protect or transfer your records.
Creating a backup is initiated by you.
When saving a backup, your device may allow you to select a destination such as:
Local device storage
Google Drive
Microsoft OneDrive
Dropbox
A memory card
Another storage provider available through your device
Sada Khata does not automatically upload your records to these services.
If you choose a third-party storage provider, the backup file is handled by that provider according to its own privacy policy and terms.
StackExpert Pvt Ltd does not control how third-party storage providers process files after you choose to save a backup with them.
You are responsible for managing and deleting backup files stored outside Sada Khata.
7. Password-Protected Backups
Where available, Sada Khata may allow you to protect a backup using a password.
You are responsible for remembering this password.
StackExpert Pvt Ltd does not keep a copy of your backup password and may not be able to recover a password-protected backup if you forget the password.
8. Sharing Bills, PDFs and Records
Sada Khata may allow you to generate invoices, bills, reports, reminders, or PDF files that you can manually share using other applications installed on your device.
For example, you may choose to share content through:
WhatsApp
SMS
Email
Printing applications
File-sharing applications
Sada Khata does not send these messages automatically.
When you choose to share information with another app or service, that information becomes subject to the privacy practices of the selected service.
Please review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
9. Biometric and PIN Protection
Sada Khata may provide optional app-lock functionality using a PIN, fingerprint, or other biometric authentication supported by your device.
Biometric authentication is handled through the security features provided by your operating system.
Sada Khata does not receive or store your actual fingerprint or biometric scan.
Your biometric information remains under the control of your device and operating system.
10. Permissions
Sada Khata attempts to use only the permissions necessary for its available features.
Depending on your device and Android version, permissions related to biometric authentication may be present so that fingerprint or biometric unlocking can function.
The app does not currently require access to your:
Location
Contacts
Camera
Microphone
File access used for backups and restores is generally performed through Android’s file-selection system, allowing you to choose the files and locations you want to use.
11. Third-Party Services
Sada Khata may interact with third-party applications only when you choose to perform an action such as:
Saving a backup
Sharing an invoice
Sending a reminder
Opening or printing a PDF
Exporting a file
Examples may include Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, WhatsApp, email applications, SMS applications, or printing services.
These services are independent of StackExpert Pvt Ltd.
Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies.
12. Advertising
Sada Khata does not currently display third-party advertising.
We do not currently use advertising SDKs or collect advertising identifiers for targeted advertising.
If advertising is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy and the applicable Google Play disclosures will be updated.
13. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Sada Khata does not currently use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services to automatically send usage or diagnostic information to StackExpert Pvt Ltd.
If such services are added in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain what information is collected and how it is used.
14. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to design Sada Khata in a way that limits unnecessary access to your records.
Available protections may include:
Local device storage
App PIN protection
Device biometric authentication
Optional password protection for backups
Separation between different khatas
However, no electronic storage system or device can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, PIN, backup files, and any passwords you create.
We recommend keeping your device protected with a screen lock and maintaining backups of important records.
15. Data Retention
Your Sada Khata information remains stored on your device until you:
Delete individual records
Delete a khata
Clear the application’s data
Uninstall the application
Replace or reset your device
Backup files saved outside the application are separate from the app itself.
Uninstalling Sada Khata does not automatically delete backups that you previously saved to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, local folders, memory cards, computers, or other locations.
You must delete those files separately from the location where you saved them.
16. Data Deletion
Sada Khata does not currently require an online user account.
Because there is no StackExpert-hosted Sada Khata account containing your business records, there is normally no server-side account or business database for us to delete.
You can remove locally stored information by using the available delete options within the application, clearing the app’s data through Android settings, or uninstalling Sada Khata.
Externally saved backup files must be deleted separately from the storage provider or location where you saved them.
17. Children’s Privacy
Sada Khata is intended for business accounting and personal financial record keeping and is not specifically designed for children.
We do not knowingly operate the app for the purpose of collecting personal information from children.
If you believe that information relating to a child has been provided to us outside the normal local operation of the app, please contact us.
18. Your Responsibilities
Because Sada Khata allows you to store information about customers, suppliers, employees, family members, and other people, you are responsible for using that information appropriately and in accordance with any laws or obligations that apply to you.
You should only store information that is reasonably necessary for your accounting or record-keeping purposes.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Sada Khata changes, when new features are introduced, or when legal or platform requirements change.
When we make changes, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
